Share your support and help us win on August 27
The voters of Oklahoma City are faced with a tremendous opportunity to grow our economy on August 27. Increasing the amount of tax levied on a hotel or motel room in Oklahoma City will help us continue to grow our hospitality industry and will increase the revenues for businesses and our local and state tax coffers.
Through the hard work and investment of our citizens, we have built a dynamic city for residents and for visitors. And it is time we tell the world.
We currently spend significantly less on visitor marketing than our competitor cities, and we collect a lower hotel motel tax than all of our competitor cities. Increasing this tax - which is only paid on the cost of a hotel room -- will give us the funds to attract more visitors, more jobs and a stronger economy.
